The British reggae DJ David Rodigan is a real radio icon. To mark his ‘40th anniversary’, Rodigan is returning to Kaserne Basel where he has often entertained the Basel reggae community before the Morgestraich (the start of carnival in Basel). Since the 1970s, Rodigan has been searching for the best reggae and dub discs, discovering new talent and delving deep into the history of roots and dub music. The now 66-year-old DJ continues to play the world’s largest reggae events, the UK’s biggest festivals and keeps himself young with sound clashes. Rodigan will be accompanied by Lukie Wyniger, a.k.a. Uncle Peng Peng, the special reggae maker of SRF 3, who has been a pillar of the club scene for the past 20 years.
