«Kalakuta Republik» conjures up the spirit of the legendary figure of Fela Kuti. The Nigerian saxophonist, who invented Afrobeat, created a spirit of defiance amongst African youth, something which brought him world-wide recognition. Today, the dancers of Serge Aimé Coulibaly, who are some of the best of the new African scene, translate their movements in sync with the voice of the singer. A frantic and angry struggle.
